On November 24 The National Honors Society (NHS) is hosting slipper day. Each student wearing slippers will be asked to donated a dollar to help people with cystic fibrosis.
“The officers will be going around collecting one dollar donations from those who wear slippers,” Junior NHS Treasurer Charles Cantrell said.
Cystic fibrosis is a disorder where an individual doesn’t produce mucus and sweat regularly. It also consists of abnormal growth and weight gain. A typical victim of cystic fibrosis can also experience infertility.
Previously NHS helped out with events such as “Bikes for Kids,” they’ve helped out at the food pantry, and they’ve entertained kids at a fingerprinting event.
