The book “Bottled Up” by Jaye Murray is about a high school boy that is mislead and falls into the drug world. His absence in his classes to go get high results in an ultimatum brought upon by his school principle which requires him to go to counseling or have his principle call his abusive father to let him know that the main character, Pip, is expelled.
The blackmail works and Pip sits through the therapy with his own thoughts and life haunting him. This book is fast paced and does not slow down until it is over. If you have read any of the Crank books by Ellen Hopkins or like stories about struggling teens, I highly recommend this.
