Track Informational Meetings Start Off Season

The start of the semester quickly begins as spring sports start their seasons. Both boys and girls track informational meetings were held Friday Jan. 15. Before school, the meeting was held in the small gym. However, after school the meeting was held in the auditorium.

“[The meeting] was just the simple, every year, required meeting,” senior Lauren Viehmann said. “[The meetings] help a lot for those that are first time track athletes though. They do help some.”

In the meeting, Dr. Greg Hennenfent,

as well as other track sponsors like Kristen Bash and Bob Doak, gave general information regarding the season as a whole. The meeting lasted around twenty minutes.

“I just love the start of a new season,” senior Kelsey Roberts said. “Even though the meetings can be somewhat boring sometimes, I just can’t wait to start running.”
