Thursday Jan. 21, was the first day of “Don’t Haiti spread the love” week. Senior NHS had a bake sale before school in the commons. They sold donuts for a dollar and Little Debbie cakes, Oreos, Mrs. Fields cookies, Cosmic Brownies, and other cookies were all sold for 25 cents.
“It went pretty good. Our donuts were the best seller by far,” sponsor Donna Malkmus said. “We raised $100.”
Senior NHS members were able to bring in food for points, which a lot of members took advantage of because there are only a few more months to get the points needed to wear the honor cords.
“It was really nice to see so many NHS members reach out to the people in Haiti in need,” senior Ryan Firle said. “And on top of that, it was really nice to see so many people buying for the cause.”
