Varsity wrestling places at state

vwcongratsart2242010 The varsity wrestling team took 13th place at state competitions last weekend.

“We won some matches and lost some matches,” Wrestling coach Sean Fowler said.

Varsity wrestler Jeff Shell won three straight matches and finished in 2nd place while Harold Ritchie and Jason Shell won 4th and 6th place at state. Harold Ritchie’s 49 wins set a new school record for wins in a season.

“The three gentlemen who placed were who we thought would place and they did,” Fowler said, “we are very happy that they did.”
