With 68 representatives at the 4.0 lunch this year at Old Hickory Banquet Center, Francis Howell North had the most students of all the Howells attending the lunch for the first time ever. The lunch began with a speech by the President of the Board of Education, Mike Sommer, and ended with the recognition of the students from all three Howell schools.

Students attending the lunch from North left school after third hour and were not required to return after the lunch was over.

“The food was delicious,” senior Jose Pagan said. “But it was also interesting to hear the plans of the other opportunistic youth.”

After the speeches were given, each student was called to the front of the banquet center to be honored with a medal from their principal. In addition, the name of the college the student is attending in the fall as well as what they will be majoring in was read while they accepted their awards.

“I just really enjoyed eating lunch with my friends on a really nice day,” senior Callie Karstens said.
