Today wandering down the halls wasn’t uncommon to see students dressed up as Disney characters. This was because today was Disney Day for spirit week. Many students chose to participate and dress up as their favorite Disney movie character.
Walking around the hallways many might have seen people dressed up as Tinker Bell, the Little Mermaid, or even the 101 Dalmatians.
Some actually found stuff laying around their house to use and there were others who went out and bought a costume. This includes senior Monica Martinez who bought a yellow dress from JCPenny and was Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
Junior Ryan Gannon dressed up as Indiana Jones and found his costume around the house. Gannon found a whip and hat in his brothers room and grabbed a jacket from his dad’s closet.
“My favorite part of my costume is my realistic whip with a loud action sound,” Gannon said. “[Spirit week] is a nice way to get creative and a way to represent your school.”
There are still more spirit days leading up to prom. Thursday will be Group or Dynamic Duo Day and Friday is Black and Gold Day.
“I think people should participate more because spirit days are fun,” Martinez said. “And the memories you build are good.”
