Prom Comes with Changes

Prompreviewstory41610As prom rolls around on April 17, students will notice major changes at the Embassy Suites Convention Center.

“There are going to be some drastic changes,” Chris Zerr, junior class president, said. “I’m really looking forward to it.”

The junior class is focusing on creating the best atmosphere for a great time this year. Many hours have been spent making sure that this year will be a year to remember. To make it memorable, the volunteers have found ways to improve prom.

“The decorations will be a lot more elaborate [this year],” Lori Lutz, prom organizer, said.

Along with the upgraded decorations the theme is promised to be great this year, “Frozen In Time”. The purple, blue, and silver colors will transform the Embassy Suites Convention Center into a beautiful setting that will make for a memorable night. But that’s not the only change this year.

“[There will be] new decorating styles along with new amazing specialized lighting,” Volunteer Cat Pherigo said.

In addition to the elaborate theme, the new lights will add to the amazing atmosphere and will enhance the theme. There will be other changes that will add to the atmosphere as well.

“We are getting this year new lights, a projector for the slide show and a much bigger photo booth,” Zerr said.

The projector is a great new element added into the mix this year. Photos can be submitted and will make it onto the slide show. This will be sure to add to the excitement and bring the students together to have an entertaining time. The new and improved photo booth will allow huge groups of people the opportunity to take photos together and create memories.

“The bigger photo booth will allow big groups to take home a picture of them and their friends to remember the night,” Nicole Cuneo, junior delegate, said.

All of the new and exciting changes will be noticeable at prom this year. Make sure to thank the volunteers who took the time to create this event along with memorable changes this year.

“It’s all about having fun and making lasting memories,” Prom Volunteer, Stephanie Blanchard said.
