After 16 weeks of practice, concert choir will be putting their voices to the test at their spring choir concert on Tuesday at 7 p.m. The concert will be held in the auditorium, just as their winter concert.
With their director, Lorraine Smith, on maternity leave for the first five weeks, preparing for the concert proved a challenge for the group.
“I think it’s going to be a good concert,” senior Meagan Bruns said. “We put a lot of effort in it so hopefully it all goes well.”
The concert will include a large variety including slow, gospel, folk and upbeat songs in order to please everyone who attends the concert. Such a variety also allows choir students to find their strengths with singing.
“I like them [the songs],” Bruns said. “I think they are pretty good this year. They show off what our choir can do and I like that there are all different types.”
For the class of 2010, this concert will be one of the lasts that come with the end of senior year.
“I’m sad it’s the last one and I’m sure it will be even more sad during the concert,” senior Holly Edmonson said.
