Final Pep Assembly of the year

lastpepassembly42910To mark the end of EOC testing, StuCo will be putting on the final assembly of the year today: the Spring Pep Assembly. This assembly, unlike the other two assemblies this year, will take place at the end of the day after homeroom, but it will still carry on the normal activities that pep assemblies have such as games, class cheering battles, and acknowledgment of athletes.

“This year’s pep assembly is way longer,” StuCo Chief-of-Staff Alyssa Bocci said. “I feel like since we have a lot of fun games and things to do everyone will really like it and it will turn out great.

Although this is an assembly to acknowledge the spring sport athletes, this is also the day where StuCo officer elections take place for next year. Unlike last year where there were videos during the assembly of each candidate, they will be shown during homeroom via live stream on the Smart Boards right before the assembly takes place.

“Doing the live streaming of the speeches will give the candidates a chance to be more comfortable and give the audience a chance to better hear their message and vote for them right after in the same place,” StuCo president Crystal Friedman said.

Even with the added feel to this assembly with the StuCo elections, members of the student body are still looking forward to the tradition at the end.

“I’m excited for the slideshow at the end of the assembly because it shows all of the memories that we have experienced this year as a student body,” senior Monica Martinez said.
