This year’s 2010 Senior Olympics was supposed to be held on the 28th of April but due to a lack of time during homeroom, is now switched to April 14. This is also the night of the senior bonfire. Senior class sponsor Kim Rastberger thinks by combining the two events, seniors won’t be pressed for time and can just enjoy everything.
“I think it’s a good idea to have them together because during the bonfire it will give us more time to have senior Olympics and we won’t be rushed,” Rastberger said.
Along with the traditional bonfire activities of roasting hot dogs and marshmallows,
this year’s bonfire will also include the activities of the Senior Olympics. The bonfire will start at 4 p.m. and the Senior Olympic activities will start at 6 p.m.
“It one of the last times we will all get to be together and just have fun together before we all go our separate ways,” senior vice president Kaitlyn Rutledge said.
