Bonfire is a senior tradition

smore051210This year’s senior bonfire will take place on May 14 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m on the football field. Admission this year will vary between five or ten dollars depending
upon if seniors purchase a shirt with their ticket or not.

Cost of food will be included in the cost of admission, with hotdogs, smores and hamburgers as featured items. Senior class officers have a lot planned for the event.

“We are paying KOE to keep the bounce houses up, so we’re able to have them for the bonfire,” senior class vice president Kaitlyn Rutledge said. “We are also trying to get people from our class to sing during the bonfire.”

Not only are they keeping the bounce house for the senior class, but they are also organizing some senior Olympic-type games, considering that fact that seniors missed out on senior games typically held during EOC week.

“The bonfire is going to be one of the last chances for the entire class to be together,” class treasurer Thu Nguyen said. “And we’re not going to get this back and most people don’t realize that.”

The senior class officers are hoping for the bonfire to leave a positive lasting impression.

“It’s important because it’s an opportunity to make great memories with your fellow seniors,” class president Soo Yang said.
