With only 13 days of school left seniors are winding down their last days at Francis Howell North. Last night, Wednesday May 12 was the annual senior awards night. The night honored seniors of their hard work from all four years of high school.
The night began at 6:30 p.m, many honors were given out during the ceremony. These included, awards such as special awards, departmental awards, and scholarships.
The night was all about recognizing the seniors, the 2010 class has won more money in scholarships than any other graduating class at FHN. The class of 2010 earned over five million dollars in scholarship money. While some knew the awards and scholarships they would receive that night others were surprised.
“I didn’t know who was going to get all those scholarships and they definitely deserved them,” senior Melissa Alexander said.
By the time the awards ceremony had ended seniors had been recognized for the hard work they have put into their classes or clubs these past four years.
“My favorite part was seeing everyone get awarded for all of their hard work,” senior Jessica Payne said.
