Camping. Many students at FHN participate in this American, summer past-time during those relaxing days off. However, there are many different ways to camp. There is a difference between “roughing it”, and camping in luxury. Both are very enjoyable for all ages.

“We go to the KOA Campground across from Six Flags.” sophomore Zach Diggs said. “There are trails to hike and pools to swim in and rocks to climb.”

As Diggs said, there are many activities to participate in at this particular campground. Campers can live in tents, “roughing it”, or in RV campers, the more luxurious way of camping. Both create a feeling of family bonding and can participate in the many activities offered by the KOA Campground staff. Camping in general is a great way to connect with friends and family, and to just take a break from the stresses of life.

“I like everything about camping.” sophomore Ahren Bohanan said. “The fact that you don’t need cell phones and Facebook. I enjoy the fact that you get to have face-to-face conversations with the people you are with, and I just love the outdoors.”
