Throughout the month of May, FHN students, as well as all other high school students around the nation, were taking the annual AP Exams. From May 3 to May 14, students were testing.
“[The tests] definitely stressed me out,” senior Lauren Viehmann said. “I was just exhausted mentally after them.”
The tests were proctored by various teachers such as Mary Baker. The tests were also administered in various locations around FHN such as the library, the wrestling room, and the computer labs. AP Exams offer alternate opportunities to high school students for receiving college credit.
Depending on the student’s AP Exam score, a student can receive multiple hours of credit for each class. In general, a student hopes for a score from a three to a five. Each AP test costs $86.
“It’s definitely a good opportunity for me and my future,” senior Niki Borgeson said. “Hopefully I scored high enough to get credit and I didn’t pay a lot for nothing.”
