This summer if your looking for a cheap, close, and extremely fun vacation, check out Branson. Branson has many things to offer, including Silver Dollar City, hundreds of shows, Table Rock Lake, Celebration City, and so much more. There is pretty much something to do for any type of person.

“I have been [to Branson] a few times,” junior Drew Ortscheid said. “My favorite part is probably Table Rock Lake.”

Table Rock Lake offers 750+ miles of shoreline to camp and fish on. Many fishers travel to Table Rock Lake for the amount of bass in the lake, which is nationally recognized. For non-fishers Table Rock Lake offers boating, water-skiing, wave-runners, and many other water sports. 

“Silver Dollar City is definitely the best part of Branson.” junior Kayla LaBarge said.

Silver Dollar City first opened in 1960, and this year they are celebrating their 50 year anniversary at the park. They will be celebrating their anniversary all year-along with World-Fest, Americas Largest International Festival. Silver Dollar City is also celebrating their anniversary with the opening of a $7 million ride, Tom and Huck’s RiverBlast, which is based off of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn.
