Greece and Italy vacation spots

Last summer students from various schools were handed a great opportunity to travel out the U.S. to Europe and learn their unique culture and see the breathtaking sights of Greece and Italy. The students were to spend half of the three weeks in Olympia, Greece and the other in Cicily, Italy.

” There’s a program called Peoples to Peoples Students Ambassador, and teachers gets to nominate a person, and I was nominated with the other students from other schools,” junior Emily Wilkins said, ” The trip overall cost $7000, and there were about 50 teens and four adults and one travel guide that came along with us in the trip.”

Breathtaking landscapes , tons of beautiful historical artifacts, and a sense of serenity, only to name a few what Wilkins felt and saw during the trip, trying hard to explain in ways that words can’t simply depict.

” I’m pretty sure that I’d love to come back someday with my family,” Wilkins said, ” Everything is just so beautiful, the culture is not really that different from ours, just that people over there takes really long lunches and they’re much more laid back, also you have to be really cautious with your money because there are a lot of pickpockets.”

Wilkins advises people who have never gone to Europe to do so, for it is an experience that will never be forgotten.

“It’s definitely something to see the culture and the food is amazing, the sights are a thousands of years old, I think it’s amazing to see things from long ago still standing,” Wilkins said, ” Also I would advice people who likes to go shopping to go to Athens, everything is so nice.”
