Pointfest returns to St. Louis

hannahxbeatWith summer finally approaching, now is the time to lay out in the sun, kick back, and enjoy some rockin’ music. The perfect opportunity to do this would be at Pointfest 2010 at the Verizon Wireless Ampitheather. With a variety of 29 different bands, 29 dollars is a steal to attend. Pointfest will be on June 6.

“Normally when you pay to go see a band, it’s some local band that isn’t very talented, but in this case, you’re paying a dollar per band to see big bands you love,” junior Sean Graham said.

The rock music festival is usually held twice a year with a main, white, black, and local stage. The first pointfest was held in 1993 and the tradition of alternative music has continued. This years pointfest will feature bands such as 3 Days Grace, Seether, Papa Roach, Hollywood Undead, Story of the year, and many more.

So if you have an extra 29 dollars laying around this summer, why not go hangout with your friends, get some sun, and see 29 bands at a cheap fare. You can purchase your tickets online. Pointfest is an event that shouldn’t be missed and you may even discover a new band that you have never heard of before.

“I’m excited because I get to hangout with all of my friends and see all of the bands that I like which are most of the ones playing,” sophomore Alex Boschert said.
