Here is the necessary information for advertising with the Francis Howell North Student Publications for each category of our publications.

Newspaper Advertisement (North Star)

Advertising with the North Star is a good opportunity for your business to be recognized throughout our community with our newspaper due to how many readers and contributers we have with our publications. The newspaper is handed out monthly to not only our student body (roughly 2,000 students) and local businesses around St. Charles who receive our paper.

All advertisements will be in full color and you have the option of your advertisement being designed by your business or designed by our publications. When the advertisement is complete we will send you a copy of your finished advertisement so you may let us know what corrections need to be done and if any changes are necessary in order for you to be satisfied with your advertisement. This process will be done before the newspaper is finalized.

Pricing for advertisements vary by the size of the desired advertisement. The sizing chart for advertisements will be at the bottom section for further review. Advertisements are done in a 9th’s scale for our pages and again, in full color with no extra cost. If you or your business purchase an advertisement that exceeds $200 dollars worth you will be eligible for a free Excalibur yearbook that you may keep for yourself, donate to a needy FHN student , or pass on this opportunity.Along with the opportunity to receive a yearbook, you also get the chance to advertise (business card size) on our website, Fhntoday.com, for free! If you pay for your advertisement on the day that our student representative contacts you or your business you will automatically receive a 10% discount on your total ad price (but will not decrease your total amount worth towards your yearbook opportunity).

Yearbook Advertisement (Excalibur)

If you are looking to get your business’s advertisement involved with our publications, but want it to be in something that’s memorable and lasts a life-time, then your best option is to have your advertisement in our Excalibur yearbook.

The FHN yearbook, Excalibur, may only come out once a year, but are looked back upon by the students who purchase them to remember the year for all that it is worth. The circulation of our yearbook reaches out to the student body (roughly 1500 students who purchase the yearbook) during registration time for the school year when students may receive them.

Pricing for our yearbook is slightly different than pricing for the newspaper. The advertisements are still in 9th sizes, but are viewed on a larger scale because of the larger page size of our yearbook. Pricing will vary on the size of the advertisement and also will be in full color. If the total cost of your advertisement is at least $200 then your are eligible for a free Excalibur yearbook that you may keep for yourself, donate to a needy FHN student, or pass on this opportunity. If you also spend the total cost of $200 or more on an advertisement you also get free advertising (business card size) on our website, Fhntoday.com.

If you want to purchase your yearbook for a lower cost, take a look at our program we use to support our yearbook and students by selling cookie dough and putting that money towards the cost of your yearbook so you don’t have to hassle with paying for it at registration. The process is simple, easy, and very rewarding for your time and effort.

Senior Advertisements

If you had the opportunity to pour out your love, pride, and affection for your child in their last year of high school, here’s your chance. You may purchase a Senior Ad in the back of our yearbook for you to dedicate this space to your child as they graduate from Francis Howell North to showcase them in your own way.
