Next Tuesday on September 7, Student Council forms are due for all students that want to apply. Not always known, Student Council requires these forms for multiple reasons.
“We require these forms because you have to be a good student, make sure the teachers sign off and so we know their schedule,” said Student Council secretary Justin Jones.
STUCO forms seem like a good idea to Sophomore Ellen Cracraft.
“You can be chosen by reasons other than being popular,” said Cracraft.
When filling out the forms, you are required to get signatures from other students around the school.
“The Petition is to let us know that other students agree they want them,” said Jones.
The Petition is also helps the other students to be reassured about their Student Council members.
“I feel like they are being judged more carefully,” said Cracraft.
Even though the forms might seem repetitious and for no apparent reason, the forms actually are necessary to the STUCO Cabinet.
“We need to know that they are committed to STUCO and need to know their schedule.” said Justin Jones.
After the forms are turn in with the signatures of teachers and other students, the Student Council cabinet will choose accordingly.
