Varsity soccer team takes step in right direction

Last night the Varsity boys soccer team defeated the Marquette Mustangs with a score of 2-1. Both goals were scored in the first half. One by senior Jordan Flack and the other by senior Ben Hess.

“It’s an exhilarating feeling after making endless runs resulting in nothing then finally scoring,” Hess said. “It makes every ounce of pain rush from your body and you’re in a sort of bliss for the moment. It’s indescribable to say the least.”

Along with the goals, Head coach Larry Scheller believes the team played a good game.

“Overall I think we played well,” Scheller said. “We made a good step in the right direction.”
The next game will be Friday against Cape Central at 7:30 in the home stadium.
