The pen is mightier than the sword

If your writing a novel you need inspiration, something that drives you to create a work of art in literature to tell a gripping story from beginning to end, and for Richard Castle, he’s found his. ABC’s new hit series “Castle” follows crime-novelist Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) as he works along side Detective Kate Becket (Stana Katic) as they hunt down criminals as a team.

The story begins when a serial killer runs loose through New York City, killing their victims the same way other victims died in all of Castle’s novels. Since he is the source of reasoning behind the murders, Castle joins Becket to catch the killer, or so it seems. Through gunfire, smart and witty one-liners, and the occasional running and being shot at chasing the criminals, Castle finds himself intrigued with Becket’s ability to lead and skills by which she can track down and catch criminals, something he could use in his next book series. With Castle and his friendship with the major, and the fact that the major is a huge fan of Castle’s novels, he is assigned to watch and observe Becket to use her as a source of inspiration, but not only that, he also can help work on any of the cases she is assigned as well. Castle finds out that he himself is as good of a detective as he is a writer through working various cases involving the typical murders to even treasure hunts.

For an occasional new series every now-and-then on T.V., “Castle” takes the cake, and even a book as well. I would highly suggest this comedy-drama to anyone for it’s non-stop action, witty dialogue, and even a few “Sci-Fi” jokes every once in a while, the show is fun for anyone and would receive a shining 5 out of 5 stars in my book.
