Halo: Reach game review

Spoiler Alert: On September 14th Bungie released a prologue to the Halo series, which was only released to Microsoft, named Halo: Reach.  Halo: Reach was a awarded a 9.5 out of ten according to Game Informer, Halo Reach has surpassed Halo 3 which scored a 8.8 with the games new abilities and upgraded weaponry.

“Reach is better because of all the new stuff that has been added,” senior Matt Spak said.

Reach’s matchmaking is a step above the other Halo games because of the new abilities offered such as sprint, armor lock, drop shield, evade, hologram, and active camoflouge, the guns in Reach have also been upgraded to cause more damage. The multiplayer allows players to access people to play with through Xbox Live.

“It’s pretty fun the guys can be jerks but I play with my friends so it’s pretty fun. I don’t know why but for some reason this type of game attracts jerks,” senior Nick Loman said.

On campaign mode the whole game is all about how the spartans began. The player starts off as a spartan that’s on  Noble team and your name is not given so your constantly being called Noble Six. The game takes place on a planet named Reach. Mission-by-mission the player is in constant disarray from battling numerous waves of enemies, in hope to save your allies.

“The games kind of depressing because your fighting a losing battle,” Loman said.

The ending to Halo Reach is not the ending fans would suspect, in the last mission Noble team fights to the death to bring a tragic ending to the game which is the beginning to the Halo series.
“It was epic and emotional and I even shedded a few tears for sure, definitely worth the money,” Spak said.
