“When one door of happiness closes, another opens. But often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.” – Helen Keller
Yesterday is yesterday and tomorrow is tomorrow, but today is today. You cannot control the past and you cannot predict the future, so why do we still try? Living in the moment is one way to find happiness. So focus in on what is going on now; not earlier or later but the present.
It’s time to stop thinking about that tough test you took early yesterday morning or the Cinco de Mayo plans you have for tomorrow night. Living presently will increase the need to find happiness to what is going on with everything now. Think about all the enjoyment you could be having at this very moment if you would just get all the past and future concerns out of your head. Try living to the fullest while living in the now.
So put your past behind you, for only you have the present to look foward to.
