Willot’s first hour class uses hat day as an opportunity to help charities

Steve Willot’s first hour will be coming into other first hour classes on Thursday, May 26 to collect money for hat day and jean day for teachers.

Willot’s first hour students will have two envelopes, one for the Hackleberg Helping Hands charity in Hamilton, Alabama, and one for Joplin, MO residents that goes through the MSSU Foundation. Students will have the option to pick which of the two charity’s they want their money to go to.

“I’m glad our school is taking part in helping out the charities because the money is going to a good cause,” Senior Brooke Oostendorp said.
