Knights take on Holt after their Homecoming loss

On Sept. 30, the Knights Varsity Football team will take on Wentzville Holt Indians. Wentzville Holt has a record of 1-4 with a win against Troy. The Knights also have a record of 1-4 with a win against East. This Friday nights’ game will be a large confidence booster to the Knights after suffering a defeat on last Fridays’ homecoming game with a score of 14-46 Oakville.  This past week, the Knights have been working diligently at practice to perfect their weak areas in preparation to face Holt on Friday. The players are feeling more confident heading into this game on Friday at Holt.

“I think it will end with a Knights Victory.” defensive linemen, Chris Gegg said. “Our records are the same at the moment but I feel like we have more potential as a team.”

As you walk through the commons, you will notice a large amount of posters and some streamers hanging above the loft. This displays school spirit as well as support to the Knights football team. This Fridays game seems to be giving the student body some hope, the students want to cheer the Knights to a victory.  Wide Receiver, Bobby Garner, has a lot of hope for this Friday’s game.

“After putting the loss behind us, we came hard and had good practices this week. I think our team is hungry from our Homecoming loss and want to take it out on Holt.” Garner says.

Between the school spirit and the positive attitudes of the players, this Fridays game is looking good for the Knights.
