FHN’s Varsity girls Volleyball team will be playing in the the two day Jimmy John’s Invitational Friday Sept. 30 and Saturday Oct. 1. The tournament will be held at Luthern St.Charles at 3:30p.m. Friday and 9:00a.m. on Saturday. The Lady Knights are undefeated, 9-0 this season.

“I think we’re ready for this tournament. We work hard at practice and put forth 100 percent effort every game,” defensive player, Claire Ford said.

Although the Lady Knights took second place last year against Villa Duchesne, they are determined to take first this year by working even harder to make their performance stronger as individuals and a team.

“We get along very well as a team which I think serves as a strength. Since most of us have played together for three years, we know eachothers strengths, weaknesses, and habits,” Setter Maddie Eifort said.

The Lady Knights will be facing some of their toughest rivals such as St. Dominic and Luthern St. Charles but with support from the scream team and many other confident fans, the Lady Knights are hoping to bring back the first place trophy.

“I believe that they will dominate every team they play,” Nick Pirrone, member of the scream team said.
