Girls Swimming prepares for meet against Westminster

The Varsity girls Swim team will compete in a meet against Westminster on Jan. 20, at 8:30 p.m at Westminster.

“My expectations are high because I know we have a good team, and mostly everyone wants to win,” sophomore Olivia Miller said.
The team feels as if they have done well this year, but feel that there is always room for improvement. With few injuries and new drivers, the team feels as if they have a lot of potential. Although most of the swimmers see Westminster as tough competition, they still keep their hopes high and are going to strive to win.
“When you swim a school as tough as Westminster, I want us to swim our best times,” coach Chip Crow said. “The tougher competition will hopefully make us better.”
At practice the swimmers have been working to refine their stokes, turns, and starts; All essential to a successful team. According to the coach all these things need to be perfected if the team hopes to win at the meet against Wesminster.
“Westminster is a tough team with a lot of girls, so we have to swim as best and as hard as we can and hope to finish,” senior Susanna McFarland said.
