The Varsity girls Soccer team is at 3-2-0 as of press time, losing their opening game against St. Dominic and defeating Fort Zumwalt East at home on March 29. Under the shadow of a team that went 17-7-1 and went to the final four in 2011, the 2012 Knights are working to live up to the high expectations.
“I think we should do pretty well,” junior Jordan Stobart said. “Even though we lost some of our best players I think we can at least make Districts.”
That is the goal set by coach Mark Olwig, who in his second season as head coach hopes to win Districts.
“The next step would be going to the Final Four,” Olwig said. “I think after last year we have a very good chance of doing that.”
