Austin Jaros-Riley Passes Away

Sunday, junior Austin Jaros-Riley passed away from complications of Fanconi Anemia according to one of his teachers, Jan Lindmeir. Fanconi Anemia is a genetic disease that can cause bone marrow failure and problems in the endocrine system. He was born on Feb. 28, 1996 and was 16 years old when he passed away.

On Monday, Principal Darlene Jones held a moment of silence for Jaros-Riley at the beginning of the school day.

He attended Barnwell Middle School before attending North and earned Honor Roll. His hobbies included art and computers.

“He loved anything to do with computers,” Lindmeir said.” He was a whiz with computers.”

His visitation will be Feb. 7 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Feb. 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the West Clay Baue Funeral Home. The funeral will be in the Baue Chapel at 2 p.m. on Feb. 8.

I Love You Austin you were my bestfriend and much more, Im gonna miss you alot, I can’t let you go, but we all just have to relize your in a better place, and don’t have to fight anymore and just get to fly and wait for us to come and join you…..
