On August 24, students and parents gathered to celebrate the annual Black and Gold Day in the FHN stadium. Black and Gold Day is the kickoff of fall sports. To celebrate the sports, the parade of athletes started the day. After the parade marching band, knighline, and cheerleaders performed. Throughout the day, booths from different clubs and school organizations to sell food or FHN clothing. Senior NHS had a karaoke contest, tennis had a cookie-eating contest, and football held a hotdog-eating contest.
