Fashion Club will be sponsoring Hat Day on September 6 to raise money for the Princess Project. Students can donate a dollar in their first hour classes to wear a hat to school.
“People are always looking for an excuse to wear hats,” Secretary Hannah Stillman said. “It’s also really neat that the money is going to a good cause.”
The money will be donated to the Princess Project, a local organization that provides free and reduced priced prom dresses and accessories for girls in need.
“We are just really excited to help out our first charity,” President Maddie Hiatt said. “Anything that we’re able to donate to them will make us happy.”
Fashion Club members will also be donating their used homecoming dresses to the Princess Project (http://princessproject.org/)
“I hope we’re able to help those involved in the Princess Project,” treasurer Nick Wyer said. “I hope we’re able to do it again around Prom time too.”
