Haley Bradt (Freshman)(v) Haley Brandt copy

Girls Tennis

Four years ago Freshman Haley Bradt picked up a tennis racket and hasn’t set it down. With taking lessons everyday this summer she placed number four on the varsity team. Her goal for next year is to bump up to the number three spot. Bradt thinks the season was really fun and she will be walking away with a lot more experience.

Kate Doerhoff (Freshman)

Girls Volleyball

Freshman Kate Doerhoff was excited when she heard she made the girls volleyball team as a freshman. She trained all summer to get the varsity spot. She knew a lot of the upperclassmen but also wanted to experience the team with all the other freshman she knew. Doerhoff hopes that next year she becomes a stronger player.

Audrey Baker (Freshman)

Softball

Playing since she was eight years old freshman Audrey Baker always liked a good challenge. Practicing with her dad everyday this summer and hitting with her select team, she was determined to do well. When she made varsity she was proud that all her hard work had finally paid off.

Osvaldo Guerrero (Freshman)

Boys Soccer

When freshman Osvaldo Guerrero made boys varsity soccer he knew he was in a tough spot. He went to summer work outs over the summer to improve. He was excited to make it but he knew he was on top so he had to prove that they put him there for a reason. His goal is to make varsity again next year and take the team to win state.

Peter Lucido (Freshman)

Boys Swimming

Not only did freshman Pete Lucido make the varsity boys swimming team as a freshman but he qualified for state. Lucido has only been swimming for two and a half years. He trained long hours over the summer and swam with his club team to make it where he is today. He really has enjoyed being on the team because everyone is so nice and encourages him.

Jake Oppenborn (Freshman)

Cross Country

When freshman Jake Oppenborn got the chance to run with varsity he felt an extreme amount of pressure. He was very nervous and felt like he had to perform the best he possibly could. Being on varsity for him is tough but it helps him to just keep running faster and improve his times. He hopes that with each meet he can keep improving.
