Jennifer Byman, is

new to FHN this year. The club consists of roughly 30 members so far, and anyone can join by showing up to meetings, which are held every other Thursday in club sponsor Mr. Witthaus’s room from 2:30 to 3:30. The next meeting will be on Thursday, Dec. 5 after school.

“Everyone in the club has a common interest in Doctor Who,” officer Luke Wussler said. “We do fun activities and watch episodes.”

Meetings start off with introducing any new members, then officers discuss the agendas for the current and next week’s meeting. Then member typically play games, discuss Doctor Who, or wtach episodes of the show together.

“It’s just fun,” Vice-President Byman said. “We get to talk about cool things that everyone is interested in. It’s like the best show ever.”

Doctor Who is a British science fiction TV show that first aired in 1963. It focuses on the Doctor, who is the last remaining Time Lord and travels throughout time and space in a machine called the TARDIS. He typically travels with one other person, known as a companion. This is why, in Doctor Who club, the president is referred to as “Doctor” and officers are dubbed “companions.”

“I started the club because I love the show, and I know that tons of other people do too,” President Chapman said. “I wanted to bring people together to talk about the show.”
