Player Profiles Week Thirteen

Brennan Buerck (Junior)

Hockey

Junior Brennan Buerck has no trouble with managing his time this week with finals considering there was no practice for hockey. Their coach gave them a week off so that they could study for finals. Buerck thinks not having practice is helping him study for finals but hockey is his way to get away, so he wishes that he could have had some practice this week. Hockey has their next game on Friday Dec. 20.

Olivia Miller (Senior)

Girls Swimming

Olivia Miller has swam the past three years on the girls swimming team. Last year she got injured causing her not to be able to swim this year. She still goes to almost all of the practices to support the team. This week the girls swim team has been very busy. They had practices on Tuesday and Thursday but meets on the other days. Practice is at 8 p.m. so swimmers get their early to study before their practice. Miller thinks the practices have not effected her finals.

Anne Reiner (Senior)

Girls Basketball

The girls basketball team has practice normally from 2:45-5 everyday. Senior Anne Reiner said the coaches knew they had finals so they made the practices 3o minutes shorter this week. Reiner said the practices have not effected her finals because she still has enough time after practice to study, and she only has four finals because she exempted some. She feels she is fully prepared for finals this week.

Alan Paaren (Junior)

Bowling

Junior Alan Paaren has no worries when it comes to practices effecting finals. Bowling only practices once a week after school. Paaren said he has plenty of time to study and his match is on Sunday Dec. 21, so it will not effect his bowling game. He thinks only having practice once a week gives him plenty of time to study.

James Gleeson (Senior)

Boys Basketball

Boys basketball has also cut down their practice time according to senior James Gleeson. The coaches cut down their practices by 30 minutes and cut out the conditioning. They do have a game on Thursday Dec. 20, but he said because it is a half day he will have plenty of time to study for his finals on Friday.
