Cody Pingleton (Senior)

Boys Golf

The boys golf team has yet to kick off their season. On Mar. 31, the team plans to attend a tournament to start off the season. According to senior Cody Pingleton, he believes the team will do alright this year. They have been preparing by playing everyday over spring break and everyday after school. The team has also been hitting on the course instead of just hitting on the driving range like they have in previous years. Pingleton feels this will give them a great advantage in the tournament coming up.

Steven Deckard (Juinor)

Boys Baseball

Last year, the boys baseball team lost nine of their starting seniors. Junior Steven Deckard isn’t worried because he feels the team still has enough strong players to make up for the loss. The team has put in alot of long practices and hard work to prepare for their game on Mar. 21 against FZS. Deckard says their has been a lot of changes to the pitchers, but they are all very well prepared and ready to win.

Chris Cattron (Senior)

Boys Tennis

The boys tennis team has not had their first match of the season but according to senior Chris Cattron, coach Kate Kleiber is pushing them to do a lot of conditioning so they can move faster on the court. Last year, the team lost their top five seniors so the team is doing a lot to make up for this loss. Cattron isn’t worried a bit because they have been working  during the off season to make sure they are at their strongest this season. Boys tennis has their first match on Mar. 24.

Logan Bergman (Senior)

Boys Volleyball

Unlike most of the other sports volleyball has kicked off their season with a preseason jamboree where they faced two other teams. Senior Logan Bergman thinks the overall jamboree went really good but there is still room for improvement. The team won both of their matches against Parkway North and Webster Groves. Bergman thinks once the team works on their serving and communication they will be on their way to state this year.

Andrew Scherff (Senior)

Boys Track

On Mar. 25, track has their first meet of the season. Their meet will be a tri-meet against two other schools. Senior Andrew Scherff is apart of the pole vaulting team. He hopes at the first meet that he will clear five jumps and win for himself and his team. Last year the pole vaulting team lost three seniors, but this year they gained five new jumpers. The pole vaulting team has been practicing everyday in hopes to take home a win their first meet.

Danielle Dagenais (Senior)

Girls Soccer

The girls soccer season kicks off on Mar. 24 playing against raining state champions St. Dominic. Senior Danielle Dagenais is a little worried because they are the state champs from last year so it can be intimidating. Dangenais thinks that because they have been practicing and putting a lot of hard work into it that they won’t have a problem. They have made up for the loss of seniors from last year and are ready to have a winning season this year.
