When students at FHN walk into school on Friday mornings they won’t just get the average “hey,” or “what’s up?”. Everyone who walks

through the doors is greeted by the club members of Students for FHN, during ‘Friendly Friday’.

“The club was started basically to promote student unity and resolve any issues that may arise because of diversity,” Students for FHN Communications Officer Elise Gertsch, said.

This year the club is focusing on getting your name out there more. They will continue doing Friendly Fridays but will also be starting monthly themes to focus on one certain way to get the students at FHN to be happier and more accepting of one another. The club will also be doing projects that go along with the theme for each month. September’s theme will be “Say Hi,” which will encourage students to say hello to those who they wouldn’t normally talk to in the hallways.

“I love being part of the club because we make it so that everyone, even people who are really busy, can help improve the school,” Secretary of Leadership Tessa Smith said.
Starting this year, the club will be excepting new general members. This will not only help expand the club but also get the word out about the messages they are trying to send to the student body.
“I think people should join Students for FHN because it is a great way to make a difference at school and make the school a better place for everyone to be at every day,” Students for FHN Activity Officer, David Hood said.
