junior class delegates are in charge of the Homecoming hallway.

“I think that it will turn out great,” Marissa Cohen, the teacher representative for the junior class delegates, said. “StuCo always does a great job.”

StuCo typically makes about $20,000 in ticket sales and uses half of that to cover the cost of Homecoming. They’re considering adding a photo booth this year. The decorations will include a volcano, frost forests, and a fiery backdrop for the stage. The days for spirit week have yet to be decided.

“The kids have been planning this since last year and this summer, [They’re] very organized, so they should be ready to go this year,” Shelly Parks, a teacher representative of StuCo said.

The march of the athletes will be added back into the pep assemblies line up. They’re considering a lights off entrance with spot lights and fog machines to switch it up and make it more entertaining.

“I hope that the assembly is lots of fun and the we find a lot of great emcees,” StuCo sponsor Jani Wilkens said.

This year’s Homecoming game will be held on Sept. 26. The king and queen will be crowned by the former king and queen at halftime. StuCo will be giving out boom-sticks to the first fifty students entered into the game.

“I think a lot of the students will go to the game and have fun because of all the decorations and the boom sticks,” StuCo Cabinet member Brenda Alvarado said.
