The Knights gave up a 2-1 lead to the Spartans. The turning point in the game was when FHC scored their second goal. IN the nerve-racking atmosphere, FHC managed to score a third goal against varsity goalie Kevin Rudberg. But the team isn’t letting the loss get them down.

“ This game shows that we can play with the best teams around,” Left-back Gabe Grote said.

North’s two goals were scored by sophomore Connor Crain and senior Christian Vasquez. Vasquez continues his impressive season with his performance against Central. He leads the team with eight goals and two assists this season.  He is described by his teammates as a key playmaker on the team.

“ I think everyone had a pretty good night, we all just made little mistakes,” Oswald said.

The Knights are now 9-8 this season. They are third place in the GAC South conference with a 3-3 record within the conference. They are behind FHC and FHHS in the conference. They have scored 32 goals this season with an average of 1.9 goals per game.

“ We gotta pick ourselves back up, come out with a positive attitude, and go win some games,” Oswald said.

The teams next game is at Fort Zumwalt West on Thursday, October 9.

“We just have to keep our head up and stay united,” Grote said.
