Jensen’s Music Blog: Week 7

Day 4: Free Music Friday

Worry Party – To Our Ill Health

This week’s installment of Free Music Friday is Worry Party’s “To Our Ill Health”. I have listened to this six track album hundreds of times. It was on repeat for a solid month. It’s very heavily inspired by La Dispute. They are a very small band that is unfortunately no longer together. My favorite track on the album is “Our Love”, but “Liver” is a close second.

Day 3: YouTube to Release Their Own Music Streaming Service Recently, YouTube announced that they will be throwing their hat into the music streaming industry. They will stream both music and music videos ad-free to their subscribers. Subscriptions will cost $7.99 per month, rivaling Spotify’s $9.99 per month. At first, this service will be invite only, but after the beta testing, it will be released to the public. For more information, check out this article below. This album was composed in a much different way than their previous releases. The band went to eight major cities in the United States and got their inspiration from the music scenes that come from them. To purchase the album, follow the link below.
