Three+Things+To+Look+For+This+Week

FHN Hockey vs FHHS

On Friday the FHN varsity hockey team will play FHHS at St.Peters Rec-Plex South. The game will begin at 6:45 p.m., and FHN will be the home team. They look to again beat Francis Howell as they did in the Gold Cup on Oct.30. Currently the team is 1-2-1 in the regular season with their one win coming against John Burroughs on Nov. 8. Forward Daniel LaMartina leads the team with four goals so far this season. The team altogether has scored 10 goals in the four games they played, with six of those goals coming in the win. On saturday they go up against a Howell team that is 4-1 since the loss in the Gold Cup, scoring at least three goals in each of their wins.

PAC-12 Football

On Saturday the only games that feature two ranked opponents are between PAC-12 rivals. First at 3:30 p.m. number 15 Arizona goes to Salt Lake City to take on number 20 Utah. After barely beating Washington last weekend, Arizona continues its tough season facing his third ranked team, which the Wildcats have a 1-1 record against. Utah comes off a win against Stanford in double overtime last week, and looks to improve their 1-2 record against ranked teams.

The next game is the L.A. rivalry; number 24 USC going down the road to play number 11 UCLA. The Trojans will finish out the year with two very tough games against UCLA and Notre Dame. USC leads this rivalry with an all time record of 44-30-7. The Bruins also have a tough rest of the season playing USC, and the always threatening Stanford. The Bruins are slightly favored with a 59 percent chance to win, according to ESPN.

 NBA Basketball

On sunday there is a lot of high quality NBA games. First will be the rising New Orleans Hornets will play the Dwyane Wade lead Heat. Then Portland looks to continue their five game winning streak against the 3-6 Celtics. Next the first place Grizzlies will play the always dangerous Clippers in Memphis. Then the 8-2 Warriors will travel to OKC to face an injury depleted Thunder. Finally the 3-7 Nuggets go to L.A., where Kobe Bryant looks to close in on Michael Jordan’s point record.
