Three Things To Look For This Week

Varsity Girls Basketball Orchard Farm Tournament

On Dec. 1, the Varsity Girls Basketball Team started the Orchard Farm Tournament. The Lady Knights won their first game of the tournament on monday against Timberland. FHN beat the Wolfs 55-42 with juniors Jessica Brady and Austine Pauley coming in for 35 of those points. Wednesday the team beat Lutheran North to go to a 2-0 record in the tournament. These were early tests for the young team as only a third are seniors. The team is also lead by new Head Coach Jamal Thompson. The Lady Knights looks to have another impressive year coming off their district championship and sectionals run last year.

Hockey vs FHC

On Saturday, Dec. 6, the hockey team will play their rivals, the FHC Spartans. FHN looks to turn the season around against the Spartans at 6:45 p.m. in the St.Peters Rec-Plex South. The team is currently 2-3-1 with their last game being a tie against Timberland. On Saturday, the team will be coming off a game against Whitfield the night before.  It will be a tough match for the Knights as they will be playing a 6-1 Central team that hasn’t lost since Nov. 8 in their first game of the season. They will look to their top scorers Brycon Johnson and Daniel Lamartina to help the team beat their rivals.

Wrestling Parkway South Tournament

This weekend, the wrestling team will be playing in the annual Parkway South Invitational Tournament. The team will be coming off a match against St. Charles West on Thursday. This tournament will be only the JV and Varsity teams. This year’s team features six seniors who hope to carry the stellar state record of the wrestling team.

“I feel like we will do very well this year because we have more experience,” said junior Tyler Collins.
