On Sept. 8, the C-Team Boys Soccer team took the fields against Francis Howell High School. The game ended with a score of 1-0.
During the first half, Howell gained the ball for the majority of the time. Howell eventually kicked the ball out of bounds which lead to North in control. North then ran the ball down to the other end and made two goal attempts. After the second attempt, Howell quickly regained their control and made a close goal but was blocked.. Throughout the first half there was a lot of passing between the players but very little movement on the field. By halftime the score was 0-0.
North started off the second half with control of the ball. They quickly made an attempt to score but was blocked. When Howell ran the ball down to North’s end, they took a very close shot. Howell parents were yelling that it was a goal, but the referee did not count it. About 10 minutes until the end of the game, the Knights made their first goal of the game. North made two more attempts to score but both were blocked. The Knights won with a score of 1-0.
The C-Team Boys next game will be against Holt on Sept 7 at 4 p.m. at North.
