Boys Swimming GAC’s

On Thursday Oct 29, the Boys Swim team will begin competing in the GAC tournament at Fort Zumwalt South. It’s finally time we talk about Swimming and Diving, because it is a very underrated sport. It takes a lot of effort to do what they do. Junior Peter Luicido will once again be looking to qualify for districts, sectionals, and then state. He will try to beat the records that he set last year. Give him and the rest of the  team some love and go support them at FZS on Thursday.

Soccer Districts

On Saturday Oct 24 the varsity soccer team began their district run against Pattonville. They won by a score of 2-0 with goals from Jake Beckman and Andrew O’Donnell.  The soccer team has done better towards the end of season, winning three of their last five games. They will play Hazelwood West on Thursday to advance to sectionals. FHN has a very good chance of winning this game and making another surprise run to the district championship.

Cross Country Sectionals

On Saturday Oct 31 the cross country team will be going to sectionals in Warrenton. Runners that qualified for the guys are Chase Powelson, Bryan Chac, and Jake Oppenborn. The only runner that qualified for the girls is sophomore Heidi Hauptman. They will be running a five kilometer race against some of the best runners in  the state, and it will be very exciting. Good luck to all the runners because I like everyone else will be doing Halloween things.
