For the first time, the Car of the Week is not a sports car. Forget about top speed, acceleration, or handing, for this week’s featured car is all about luxury and comfort.

Back in Jul. 2014, FHN junior Sohail Jchaj got his first car, an Infiniti G37x.

“I got my car because I love luxury,” Jchaj said. “It just makes me feel good.” Contrary to the popular stereotype that teenage boys aspire to drive sports cars, Jchaj values luxury and comfort over outright speed and handling.

“I don’t like Lamborghini’s, I don’t like Ferraris,” Jchaj said. “I do like cars that are red and chrome though.” With a bright red paint job and plenty of chrome trim, Jchaj’s car stands out among other cars in the parking lot and on the road.

The G37x has All-Wheel-Drive, which makes it handle snow and ice surprisingly well. “It is very useful in the winter,” Jchaj said. “I don’t even need to put winter tires on it because I’ve never had a problem in the past.” It is quite difficult to understand and appreciate how useful All-Wheel-Drive is on a car until you have experienced first hand exactly how much easier it is to drive the car in bad conditions. The difference that it can make is much greater than most probably think.

With plans to modify his G37x, Jchaj has no plans to get rid of his car anytime soon.

“I do love to collect cars,” Jchaj said. “I can see myself keeping this car along with other cars that I get in the future.”
