Three Things to Watch This Week 1/20

Three+Things+to+Watch+This+Week+1%2F20

Boys Basketball vs FHHS 1/22

On Friday Jan 22, FHN will travel to FHHS to take on the Vikings in their first meeting of the season. It’s been two very different seasons for these long time rivals. The Vikings are off to a good start with an 11-4 record and scoring 66.5 points per game. FHN is sadly, is 4-10 and scores about 51 points per game. The teams are at opposite ends of the league standings, therefore this could be a statement win for the Knights. Their previous game was supposed to be against Timberland but that was postponed due to the recent snow. The Knights have a tough schedule ahead their next four games are against teams with winning records in their division. This game at FHHS will kick off a very bad run for the Knights.

Girls Basketball vs FHHS 1/22

Also on Friday the Lady Knights will travel to FHHS and play the Vikings before the boys game. FHN has had an average season with a 6-7 record, but as of late they’ve been sub-par. Out of their last six games they have only won one. Much like boys team, in true FHHS form, Vikings girls team is also very good. Now I know that you’re expecting me say something about Austine Pauley and how she’s the greatest player you’re ever gonna see. She is very, very good (recently named STL Today’s player of the week). But even with her phenomenal play, it looks like FHN will leave FHHS with two losses.

Girls Swimming/ Diving vs St.Charles 1/21

On Thursday the FHN girls swimming and diving team will take on St.Charles High School at the St.Charles YMCA. Now I’m gonna be honest I know very little about the swimming and diving team much less swimming and diving competitions in general. But one thing I do know is that the team is coming off one of its toughest meets of the season in a loss to Howell and Timberland in a three team meet. Head coach Chip Crow looks to get the swimmers to rebound in this next meet. Read a more in depth look at the past meet here.
