Three Things to Watch Over Spring Break

Three+Things+to+Watch+Over+Spring+Break

Baseball vs Hillsboro

To kick off spring break, the varsity baseball team will play Hillsboro after school Friday, March 18. This will be the first game at the upgraded baseball fields. It will also be the first game of the Troy tournament. Prior to this game the team participated in a jamboree vs CBC and MICDS. In these scrimmages FHN beat MICDS and lost to CBC. That is good result considering CBC were the state champions, and they beat MICDS who beat CBC in this tournament. On the mound the FHN will be starting senior Jarrett O’Brien for this first game.

Track vs FHHS/FHC

To begin the season the track team will have a warm-up meet against the other schools in the Francis Howell district. This will be held at FHN on Monday, March 21. This will be a good chance to see some athletes from last year and how they’ve improved. Annie Russell and Trey Pettit will be looking to break the shot-put records they set last year. Senior Nicole Morse will be looking to make another run at sectionals in her final season.

Boys Tennis vs FZN

For their third match of the season, and the last event of spring break, the varsity tennis team will play their first home match. On Monday, March 28, they will play Fort Zumwalt North at home. For this team of mostly seniors they will look to start off a three game homestand, with a win. Prior to this the team will have played St.Charles and FHHS on the road.
