Anastasia Krasun, or ‘Stas’ to here friends, is a foreign exchange student from Ukraine staying temporarily in the US under the FLEX (Future Leaders Exchange) program. Although it has been a process for her to adapt to the new environment, she is enjoying her time and feels as though she is part of the family here at North. From a young age Stas began learning English and worked hard to come to the United States, inspired by the freedom and opportunity available here. “In the United States people say you can be whoever and whatever you want to be”. After her academic year is over, she will return to her family in the Ukraine but hopes to move to the US later in life.
