Girls Lacrosse Teams Look Forward to FHHS on March 31

On March 31, the JV and Varsity lacrosse teams will be hosting games against FHHS. The JV game will take place at 4:15 p.m. and the varsity game will take place at 5:30 p.m.
“I am excited to see how the games will go for the girls,” Coach Ryan Darks said. “We are a much stronger team than we were last year, seeing as how we were a first year team last year. We have had more time to strengthen our skills as a team and I am looking forward to watching it come together in a game.”
This is only the second year that FHN has had a girls lacrosse team. They are looking to make improvements from their season record last year, starting with a win against FHHS.
“I think this game will be a good challenge for us,” junior Briana Schmidt said. “I think we have a good chance of having a competitive game. It should be fun.”
This will be the first official game of the Knights’ season. They had a game scheduled earlier this month, but it was canceled due to weather. They have also had a scrimmage where they broke the team up and played against each other. This will also be one of the only games that FHN will host.
“Everyone from our school should come out and watch the game,” sophomore and goalie Madeline DeGraw said. “It’s a really fun atmosphere and it helps all the girls to get a lot more excited and play with more enthusiasm. I think the game is going to go well, so it would be awesome for people from our school to see that we’re pretty good.”
