On Sept 5, FHN’s girl’s golf team competed in a match against Francis Howell High School and Troy High School. The match took place at Woods Fort in Troy.

“The rough around the fairway had longer grass than I was used to so it was a bit harder than I expected, but overall I think it as a pretty good match and we all played good.” Junior Sarah Lalonde said.

FHN placed 2nd out of three teams, Jessica Qian, who is looking to receive a scholarship for golf, earned first place with a score of 48 points.

“We had some solid scores and I think we played pretty good,” Lalonde said.

This was their 4th match, and they have four left until GACs.

“This match helped prepare me for the future because it gave me more experience so that I can be more confident while golfing,” Lalonde said.
